April 6, 2014 - Lynn Crisci lies on her bed in her Boston, Mass., apartment, after attaching an ultrasound bone stimulator to her foot. Crisci says the bone stimulator helps her deal with her chronic pain. Crisci, a Boston Marathon bombing survivor, lives with a brain injury, chronic pain, and PTSD from the bombing. Prior to the bombing, Crisci had already sustained an injury that left her with chronic pain and a brain injury, and had been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a connective tissue disorder. Crisci plans to participate in the Boston Marathon for the first time this year. Photo by Carolyn Bick/BU News Service.
